Gurl Friends's Blog

I don’t know about any of you but I am soo excited to wear spring clothes.  Heels instead of boots, blouses and cami’s.  I love the new looks.  The colors are great all tropical and fruity.  I noticed day light is finally lasting longer and my mood is better.  Does anyone else feel this way?

Must go for now,

{January 21, 2010}   New Website for Gurls

I just wanted to let you know I have started a website just for Gurls.  I have shapewear, how to videos, and a part of the site where you can have a virtual makeover.  You can upload your picture and try different makeup techniques and decide what looks best on you.  No more guessing.  The service is absolutely free.  Use it as many times as you want.  I am addicted to it.  The best part is everything is confidential!  No one sees the makeover but you!  Please check out the site and let me know what you think. www.bodymagicgurls.com

{January 14, 2010}   Why do people judge?

I have a question for all of you gurls.  I am catholic but I feel the only one who has the ability to judge someone is God.  I am not perfect not even close.  So why do people judge crossdressers so harshly?  I was trying to set up a meetup for gurls at a salon.  I thought how awesome hair, nails, makeup etc.  The girls who worked to the salon had no problem with it but the owner did.  She is very religious and she said that is a line she couldn’t cross.  Are you kidding me?  She has no problem with gay men just crossdressers?  So does the bible say only be unaccepting of crossdressers but we will service wife beaters and spouses that cheat.  Women in this world wear suits, cut their hair short, we even wear boxer shorts.  That is acceptable but men who wear mascara isn’t?  Can you tell I take this personally?  Let me know how you feel about this and some of your experiences.  I need to know I’m not the only one that is outraged.  Have a great day!

{January 8, 2010}   Happy NewYear!

Hello Gurls,

It is the time of year we take a look at our life and see what we want to change.  I for one have decided to be kinder to my family.    Is there anything you would like to change?  Being more social?  Loving yourselves for who you are and not caring what other people think?  Going out and getting feminine clothes that make you look hot.  I would love to know what you think!  I finally got a power point together if you would like to take a  look. http://bit.ly/CurvyGurl

{December 9, 2009}   Welcome!

Here it goes. This is my story and I hope all the gurls will help me continue writing it.   This blog is about you and how amazing all of you are.  I always thought of myself as open minded but I never truly knew what that ment.  Through a business meeting I met a cd.  The irony was I had no idea that is who I was going to meet.  I thought I was meeting a girl not a gurl.  When I met her I knew right away but I thought I have no right to judge so I sat down and we talked.  And we talked, and we talked somemore.  She is amazing.  She is more compassionate then most women I know.  We talk all the time.  It is a wonderful friendship and I feel blessed.  Through one of our conversations we realized there are no places for gurls to meet in northwestern Illinois.  I have since started a meetup group.  All gurls are welcome.  It is a place where conversations are confidential.  It is also a place for socials, makeovers, accessory advice and anything else someone suggests.  If any of you are interested check out www.meetup.com and search crossdressing.  You will find us.  For those of you not in the area I will continue to Blog about all my experiences.  I will also have a powerpoint up shortly so you can see what we are doing.

{December 9, 2009}   Power thought of the week!

“It is safe to look within; As I move through the layers of other people’s opinions and beliefs, I see within myself a magnificent being, wise and  beautiful.  I love what I see in me.”  Louise L.Hay
